Frequently Asked Questions

I haven’t exercised in a very long time. Will these classes be to intense for me? 

Okay maybe it has been a long time since you’ve worked up a sweat, but it’s never to late to start, right?! The risk of doing serious damage to yourself with exercise is actually pretty low, so long as you start slow and step it up gradually.

I’ve taught group fitness classes for over 15 years to a wide range of women, varying in age, body weight and fitness level. Thus I feel very confident that I can offer exercise modifications to support your unique needs.

I currently weight 200+ pounds. Are these classes right for me? 

Are you able to leave your ego…aka…your ‘inner mean girl’ at the door? Are you willing to kick comparison to the curb?

If you replied, “I’m willing to try!” then the answer is YES!!! These classes ARE right for you.

YOU are your only limit.

Stop listening to your inner critique – ‘she’ hasn’t done you any favors up to this point.

You CAN make a change! Accept Your Body – as it is Right Now.  Your body is capable of way more than you give it credit for.  Remember, “Progress not Perfection”.  PLUS…you’ll have me as your expert coach guiding you every step of the way and the loving support of a community of other amazing women who like you, have made a commitment to improve.

What do I need to bring to class?

You will need to bring the following:

  • Yoga mat
  • Comfortable workout clothes
  • Indoor running shoes
  • Water bottle
  • And an eagerness to learn and a commitment to never give up!!

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Your weight loss results will depend on many factors, such as the amount of weight you need to lose. For example, someone who has 100LB to lose will drop fat much faster than someone who has 10LB to lose. It also depends on how hard you work and how consistent you are with following the program.

However, the average weight loss for women on a 6-week plan who are focus purely on fat loss is around 12lbs.

Keep in mind that any program can help you drop “Weight”, but much of the weight initially lost is water and toxins leaving the body. Plus, many low calorie, starvation diets have you eating anywhere from 30-50% of the energy you burn daily, and these qualify as severe caloric restrictions which causes your body to lose muscle and the less you eat the more you lose. As you lose muscle, your body not only begins to take on that amorphous “skinny fat look,” but your metabolism slows down, your bone health decreases, and your risk of disease increases. 

So, while severely restricting calories is great for losing weight quickly…it’s ultimately a bad way to go about losing weight.

A much safer, enjoyable and successful way to lose weight is to maintain a moderate caloric restriction of about 20% (eat about 80% of the energy your body burns every day) and by doing so, you’ll able to lose 1-2 lbs of fat per week while preserving your metabolic health, energy levels, lean muscle, and mood.

If I enroll in the on-line option can I do the workouts at home?

Yes! This plan includes at-home workouts that you can do at home with minimal equipment. All you need is a set of dumbbells, 5-10lbs. However, as you progress through the programs and get stronger I do recommend using heavier weights during your workouts.   

How long are the at-home workouts?

The workout times range from 9 minutes – 45 minutes per workout. Depending on your weight loss goal and how committed you are to achieve it, you can expect to exercise 4-6 times per week for 20-45 minutes per day.

Do I have to eat and exercise at a specific time?

No! I encourage a flexible and tailored approach. The BEST time to eat and exercise for YOUR results are the times when YOU can be the most consistent. Consistency more than timing is the key to your weight loss success.

Although past clients who have enjoyed the best results and who’ve had the greatest consistency throughout the programs where the ones that committed to exercising in the morning. So, I highly encouraged you to WIN your day by starting it with a workout.    

Will I need to take a lot of supplements?

No! All supplements are add-ons that may help. They are NOT a replacement for diet and exercise. They may help but they are certainly not required. Many women get great results without ever using the supplements I recommend, they are totally optional. I also receive no profit / perk from recommending them.

The in-person class times and location does not work for me, can I still join the program?

Yes!!! For sure.  That’s why I created the ON-LINE  enrollment option program, which gives you complete access to all the program materials PLUS support from me inside a private Facebook community. So you can particiapte from anywhere in the world on any computer or mobile device. 

Are all the program materials digital or are they sent to my home?

The program materials are provided digitally as PDF’s and are simple to access. If you can open an email you can access the programs materials. There are no complicated apps or software to figure out. All files are made in “print ready” format and many women choose to have the materials printed and stored in binders for quick reference. Which is HIGHLY recommended!

Is there a refund policy?

If you are unable to attend the in-person classes due to circumstances out of your control,  you can receive a refund if you notify me within 5 business days prior to the class start date (a $25.00 cancellation fee will apply.) If you notify me after the class start date, you will receive a credit towards a future program or service. The credit is good for one year and is transferable. There is no cash refund.
