Incline Chest Press

Incline Chest Press is an excellent exercise to add to the beginning of your chest or upper body workout. Preforming this exercise on a Smith Machine allows you to lift heavier weights because you can always lock it out if you can’t complete the rep; a much safer option to the regular Olympia Bar Chest Press if a spotter is not available.
Exercise Tips:
- Bar positioning is really important when preforming this exercise, so make sure you adjust the position of the bench so that the bar lowers to the muscles directly underneath the point that the clavicles meet.
- Be sure that when you are lowering the bar that you do so in a slow and controlled fashion. Conversely, when you press the bar upward, you want to do so in an explosive fashion
